The ladder league works via a system of challenges. Any player can challenge a player up to 3 places above them on the ladder. These challenges cannot be declined. If the lower-placed player wins the match, then the two players swap places on the ladder. If the lower-placed player loses, then they may not challenge the same person again without challenging someone else first.
- Matches are best of 5 sets (first to 3), first to 15 points in each set
- Players can challenge 3 places above them in the ladder
- Players receive six opportunities to challenge outside of the challenge span (i.e. to challenge 4 or more places above them)
- Players will be auto-demoted 5 places after 14 days of inactivity, so we recommend trying to play at least once every two weeks, or once per week if you can!
- New players can join throughout the term
- Players must organise a suitable time and venue to play their fixture. Court booking is available at the University Sports Centre via the camunisport app.
- Players should add results to Playwaze no later than 48 hours after the match. You can either use the website or the 'Cambridge University Leagues' app, available in the app store
- Use the notes section when adding your result to add any comments about the match, like what a great game you had!
